Responsible for all marketing including market development, and customer solution activities to achieve the business objectives within business policies and guidelines as well as departmental budget. At this level, the position has a greater degree of impact on the business results and typically, responsibility for managing a group of professionals.
Duties & Responsibilities
Set the strategic direction for BW business for MEA
Manage sales and marketing strategies for the Business and execute the strategies through the sales team.
Implement marketing objectives, policies, sales organization structure, sales and marketing programs to achieve maximum sales and profit.
Portfolio optimization for the Business to ensure NPIs are launched timely to refresh current product offerings to customers.
Ensure forecasts, financial commitments, and demand plans are aligned to support new product launches.
Prioritize and propose investment opportunities to further advance growth of BW MEA business.
Communicate and track short and long range sales and marketing plans.
Research new markets and applications for volume growth.
Managing discount and pricing policy.
Contracts renewal negotiations with government and private enterprises.
Develop and monitor departmental budgets.
Reporting to CSS BU Director of Middle East and Africa, the Marketing & Customer Solutions Lead, Biosense Webster will be closely working with the EMEA marketing team and have responsibility for the BW Middle East & Africa Platform including but not limited to: Developing growth opportunities & partnerships that serve 3D EP procedures growth across MEA countries, assessing and quantifying opportunities to improve market share, product profitability, NPIs Plans, Implementing product portfolio strategies and patient flow enhancement initiatives prioritization, mobilizing and inspiring the sales & clinical teams, Creating product positioning/messaging and Developing pricing and other promotional campaigns.
This position involves interaction and active engagement with multi-disciplinary internal and external stakeholders, and high-level cardiology and electrophysiology advisory teams. This position necessitates work with cross-functional (L&D, Medical, ProfEd, Sales, Finance, Operations, Quality, Clinical, Regulatory, Regional marketing teams and key customers) in identifying emerging, unmet needs; evaluating options; creating financial models; and providing direction for growth opportunities to drive projects progress and BW segment growth. It requires seamless collaboration with all parties and a careful balance of efforts to ensure all process needs are met, and very efficiently executed.
Participate effectively as a great teammate with high quality standards, display knowledge and expertise of sound management practices, and effectively develop, lead, and executes business plans to meet current and future needs.
Demonstrate prioritization skills and establish self as a specialist for product franchise and job responsibilities and will critically examine market dynamics to support strategic marketing plans with external opportunities.
Participate and help build and drive the overall short- and long-term BW strategy, drive new products penetrations activities, deliver launch excellence to drive revenue for the BW segment.
Ensure collaboration with Regional marketing counterparts to support forecasting models, product positioning, & launch strategies.
Develop sustainable relationships with Regional KOLs, Sales, Cross-Functional, Marketing, and Regional leadership.
Consistently promote and nurture the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and compliance at all times, including our Global Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and related policies and procedures.
QualificationsA successful candidate will need to have/be:
Education: A degree in Engineering/Biomedical Engineering, Marketing, Healthcare, or Technical business equivalent is preferred.
Minimum of five years total business experience within cardiology is required.
Mandatory experience in upstream and downstream marketing.
Previous experience with market development is a strong must.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience building positive relationships between cross functional teams such as sales, marketing, clinical, medical, operations, and/or other key functional partners to deliver business objectives.
Strong communication and presentation abilities as well as effective planning and prioritization skills are required.
The ability to influence without authority, gain cross-functional support and drive business direction is required.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously to deliver business results is required.
