The successful candidate will support the centralised solution for hotel chain/group relationships and connectivity with dnata Travel Group (dTG) by proactively developing and managing a network of suppliers and service providers. Act as a single point of contact for hotel chains hotel, DMCs and other land suppliers on behalf of dTG and its affiliate companies, leverage technology to achieve seamless connectivity with hotel partners and drive room night production.In this role, you will:
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key contacts across all assigned suppliers in order to facilitate negotiations and secure the edge over competitors. Load QBR plans in Salesforce.
Deliver account management with clear development plans/rolling files for leading hotel companies assigned and supervise the Contracting Executives in the execution of account management as required.
Work hand in hand with the Product and Market Management team to set and deliver the bed brief and highlight all opportunities for improvisation and growth on an on-going basis.
Manage the supplier negotiation process at the optimal time to ensure that technical and contractual requirements, competitive rates, allocations, and release periods are agreed, finalised, comprehensively loaded, and available in accordance with agreed SLAs and briefs with affiliates. Ensure speed to market and differentiation can be maintained. Assume direct accountability for room materialization at the assigned selected chains. Constantly monitor and manage performance with recommendations and taking necessary action.
Influence, support and negotiate to ensure maximum contribution from suppliers is being raised for dTG. Maximize commercial return on relationships by ensuring highly competitive brochure contributions and sales overrides are incorporated into the contracting process. Ensure supplier revenue targets are met and if necessary, re-negotiated to achieve the best financial gain.
Oversee site inspections of existing and new properties to ascertain suitability. Supervise the loading of rates and information for assigned suppliers into the contracting system, ensuring minimal errors in collaboration with the loading teams and in line with defined quality control standards and service level agreements.
Ensure the Reservations, Operations and Finance teams are provided with accurate data to complete booking processes and produce accurate customer invoices.
In collaboration with the businesses, Product teams evaluate market requirements related to the needs of tactical products (i.e., new destinations, weak periods etc.) to support the defined business strategy. Support the Product team with the delivery of content, images, product awareness and knowledge.
Manage CRM accuracy to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage supplier development and partnerships. Manage the contract library and control document access to ensure consistent record retention and facilitate the resolution of contract issues to minimise any impact on service disruption. Ensure that reviews are conducted (including legal) in a timely manner.
Implement the Health and Safety procedures as determined by the Company.
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
Commercial/Sales/Contract Negotiation : 5+ Years.
Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) : Degree in a business, tourism or sales management subject.
Experience in the Commercial/Sales/Contract Negotiation.
Experience in the tourism industry with a minimum of 3 years in a Product/Purchasing/connectivity.
Manager or Product/Purchasing executive capacity.
You'll have an edge if you have:
Proven ability to exercise commercial judgement in the selection, negotiation and contracting of tour operators or hotel services.
Knowledge of geography and an understanding of the tourism/tour operating industry.
Demonstrable analytic skills.
Proven ability to meet production and commercial deadlines.
Technology literate with an existing international job relevant industry network.
Excellent written and oral English language skills, other languages would be an advantage based on region assigned.
