Operations Manager - Marine (Full-Time)

Salary: AED 10,000.00 per month

Location: Sharjah, UAE

We are seeking an experienced Marine Operations Manager to oversee and manage all marine operations for our ship agency in the UAE and internationally. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in marine operations, strong leadership skills, and in-depth knowledge of the maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all aspects of marine operations, including vessel scheduling, port operations, and cargo handling. Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and industry standards. Supervise and coordinate with the team to respond promptly to inbound service inquiries/orders from shipowners/charterers. Monitor vessel schedules and ensure smooth port operations. Coordinate with port authorities, shipping companies, and other stakeholders to ensure efficiency. Develop and implement strategies to optimize marine operations, enhancing productivity. Analyze operational performance and identify areas for improvement. Prepare and monitor Disbursement Accounts (D/As) and reports for management review. Manage relationships with vendors and service providers. Investigate and stay updated on port authority regulations. Handle operational issues or emergencies with prompt and effective decision-making. Maintain accurate records and documentation of marine operations.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Marine Operations, Maritime Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Minimum 10 years of managerial experience in marine operations. Strong knowledge of ship agency operations, customs, logistics, and maritime regulations. Familiarity with shipping business processes and operational documentation. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders. Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach to challenges. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks. Proficiency in marine operations software and business ERP applications (Pact System preferred). Experience in working with multinational teams and diverse cultures. Certification from relevant maritime authorities or professional organizations is a plus.
