The Role

Our Global Project Management Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Consultant Marine Engineer experienced in dredging and land reclamation to join their team in Abu Dhabi to work on a new marine project in the Emirate. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Consultant Marine Engineer working on similar projects in the UAE performing design review and site supervision. Only candidates with a track record of working for recognized supervision consultants or PMC Companies will be considered. This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 9-12 month contract position hire as an outsource, employed by J10 Consulting. Key Responsibilities: o Manage design development, technical reviews, and project execution for marine/coastal works o Drive value engineering initiatives and optimize construction methodologies o Contribute towards project controls, risk management, and quality assurance systems o Work within multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with stakeholders o Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and HSE standards o Lead design reviews and ensure compliance with technical standards. o Manage subcontractors, timelines, and resource allocation. o Resolve on-site engineering challenges o Liaise with environmental agencies for permits and sustainability compliance.



Requirements

Consultant Marine Engineer Experience:

o BSc in Civil, Marine or related o 8-10+ years in marine/coastal infrastructure projects, including island reclamation o Advanced knowledge of coastal processes and marine structure design o Strong background in construction planning and contract management o Experience with relevant design software and project management tools o Professional certification in Civil/Marine Engineering with project management credentials preferred o Minimum 3-5 years UAE and regional experience at least 2 with a recognised Design or Supervision Consultancy Company working on major marine developments o Strong communication, stakeholder and client management skills in a client facing role
