Job Description

Responsibilities:

Manage all accounting transactions of both Morafiq and its sister concern OACIS Middle East LLC.

Develop trusted advisory relationships with internal stakeholders and executive sponsors.

Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.

Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)

Clear advisory and focus on ROI

Financial presentations to Board of Directors

Prepare Cash flow forecasts and manage day to day cash flows

Prepare budget forecasts.

Publish financial statements in time.

Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

Ensure timely bank payments.

Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.

Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.

Report on the company's financial health and liquidity.

Audit financial transactions and documents.

Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.

Responsible for all payables and receivables.

Comply with financial policies and regulations.

Issuance of invoices. Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.

Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.

Coordinate and complete annual audits.

Provide recommendations.

Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.

Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Meet financial accounting objectives.

Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.

Requirements and skills:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or relevant degree.

Minimum of 5 years of accounting/finance experience.

Zoho Books, Peachtree or Tally experience preferred.

Proficiency in bookkeeping.

Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager.

Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.

Ability to analyze large amounts of data.

Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization.

Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.

Experience in VAT return filing.

Ability to direct and supervise.
