SynopsisThe role is part of the Solutions and Innovation team, where the individual will get the chance to be involved in delivering innovation projects for the Pricing and Revenue Management function.He/she will have the opportunity to put Operations Research and Machine Learning in practice to develop new algorithms as proof of concepts and subsequently implement as solutions after validation in areas such as Pricing, Demand Forecasting and Optimization.Accountabilities
Prioritize and coordinate the delivery of bug fixes, enhancements, and new releases of Revenue Management (RM) systems in collaboration with T&I, Digital, and Commercial stakeholders.
Drive automation in RM systems by developing models to take automated actions or implementing machine learning techniques.
Develop innovative data models using analytical tools to make optimal commercial decisions.
Liaise with inter-functional teams to understand business requirements and incorporate in the product roadmap to ensure its smooth adoption across the team.
Construct data models and analytical tools to make optimal commercial decisions to maximize revenue.
Conduct all phases of the projects (ideation, building the models, converting models into solutions, conducting successful implementation and change management), but also support some of the current systems with analysis and calibration.
Monitor the user actions (pricing decisions, forecast influences, optimization and fare strategies) in the systems and provide feedback to users on their impact.
Manage and maintain calibration of pricing models, forecasting and optimization parameters in Revenue Management (RM) systems.
Manage user acceptance testing of Pricing and Revenue Management Systems and provide guidance on scope and test scenarios to various stakeholders involved in systems upgrades.
Manage data quality assurance of inputs and outputs of Pricing & RM Systems interacting closely with Market Management, Group Analysts, Flight Analysts and T&I.
Devise and manage effective KPI metrics to monitor systems usage and take necessary steps to improve systems usability.
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Operations Research, Economics or MBA
2 to 3 years of experience in Revenue Management systems or Operations Research or statistical modeling or equivalent work experience.
Experience within the aviation industry in the areas of Commercial, such as, demand forecasting, and optimization.
Experience in the usage of tools such as R, Python, Tableau, Databricks or other equivalent tools.
Experience in the usage of cloud based computing such as GCP, Azure or AWS.
