Manage the daily operations of the Financial Aid Office & promotes financial aid availability to students & the community.
Update staff & students of eligibility determination process financial aid awards, hear satisfactory academic progress appeals & compile institutional reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the administration of financial aid policies, requirements & procedures.
Develops, implements, and evaluates department scholarships/discounts policy.
Manages sponsors accounts processing, debt collections, scholarship and grants processing.
Ensures compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements in all financial aid & scholarships programs with all agreements and university policies.
Services as liaison between all university departments & the financial aid department to coordinate policies guidelines pertaining to financial aid.
Monitor scholarship & financial aid accounts to ensure expenditures are within budgeted parameters.
Requests & balances all financial aid, scholarship & finance resource balances and review credit balance reports.
Prepares information & presents at meetings, discussion groups or workshops for students, parents & staff.
Coordinates with outside agencies in developing new financial aid & scholarship information systems.
Responsible for finance resource through Receiving, implementation, auditing and collection of debts.
Prepare contracts for various financial aid & scholarship services.
Audit files & reports to ensure student funds are being processed & released in a timely manner.
Assists in the design & responsible of testing, implementation & troubleshoot of all computer systems applications & quality control procedures.
Organize financial aid information requested from auditors during annual audit and responsible of processing functions & special condition updates to student records.
Observes safety & security precautions appropriate to work performed and work supervised.
The scholarship & financial aid Manager in charge will be responsible for all the procedures of Thamer\'s Fund (e.g. Ensures compliance with AU rules & regulations, prepares pieces of information & presents them at meetings, audits files & lists, monitors, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:University Bachelor degree with minimum 4 years of work experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified in the job description, Fluency in English & Arabic (Verbal & Written), proficiency in computers and previous office experience is essential as well as IT skills.KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to verify and assess student eligibility for financial aid.
Ability to analyse and solve problems.
Interviewing skills and having the ability to make evaluative judgments.

Knowledge of data management systems and processes.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and over the telephone.

Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
