We aspire to challenge the traditional way of recruiting to create greater efficiencies and better experiences for candidates and managers alike.In this role, you will be responsible for leading the direction and delivery of recruitment efforts within Etihad\'s Flight Operations Division. Working in partnership with HR and Flight Operations leadership, you will design and execute creative strategies to ensure our high growth targets are met efficiently. You will lead a small team of recruiters focussed on Pilot and Flight Operations sourcing, assessment and selection. This role will require an understanding of the aviation industry and best practices in Pilot selection. In addition, you will leverage and contribute to strategic initiatives and projects designed to maximise efficiency, the candidate experience and position Etihad as an employer of choice to these demographics.Accountabilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract qualified Pilots and other Flight Operations professionals globally within a dynamic and highly competitive talent landscape
  • Lead and coach a small team of TA professionals, ensuring consistently high levels of performance and fostering their ongoing professional development
  • Collaborate with Flight Ops leadership and Workforce Planning to understand staffing needs, fleet expansion plans and training requirements, aligning recruitment objectives with operational requirements
  • Utilise aviation industry networks, job boards, social media and third-party recruitment agencies to source and identify potential candidates, creating active and future-ready talent pipelines
  • Lead the design and execution of the pilot assessment and selection process, in partnership with Flight Operations pilot selection team
  • Stay abreast of aviation regulations, licencing requirements and industry trends relating to pilot and Flight Operations recruitment
  • Drive employer branding initiatives specific to Pilot and Flight Operations recruitment
  • Monitor recruitment metrics and analysis to track the effectiveness of recruitment efforts, identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions top optimise talent acquisition processes
  • Focus on continuous improvement of the process and the candidate experience
Education & Experience
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience within flight operations recruitment in a major airline
  • Knowledge and understanding of aviation licencing requirements and industry best practice
  • Expertise in the design and facilitation of assessment centres
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate small teams to deliver results in complex and dynamic circumstances
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to think creatively to solve complex problems to deliver the right results
  • Proficiency in recruitment technologies with the ability to leverage data and analytics to drive decision-making
  • Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders
