JOB PURPOSEThe jobholder is responsible to manage all the quality control processes, activities and team to ensure that all raw materials, intermediate and final products are fully complied with the sampling and inspection criteria, and in line with the product classification specifications to ultimately meet the customer requirements. Manage the Quality Laboratory to ensure that all the testing methods are qualified and compatible with testing the targeted specifications and features of the products, in accordance with the agreed criteria with the product international standards, or companys product development, and technology licensor.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESQuality Control
Manage the Quality Control functions processes, standards, activities to meet operation and marketing business requirements to ensure the consistency and quality of company products.
Oversee the offline and online quality control systems to ensure product quality and quality consistency of all intermediate and raw materials for all plants during the uptime.
Advise on the development opportunities on quality control systems to ensure meeting the desired efficiency against the production volume.
Oversee the planning of quality control and laboratory teams to manage the testing and inspection for all the related operations, and materials schedules and shifts, to ensure coverage.
Align and communicate all the planned schedules for operations, material handling, and raw materials activities with the quality to ensure the right skill availability per each activity.
Quality Laboratory
Manage the laboratorys assets, equipment, tools, and appliances to support the types of related tests and enable the team to operate more effectively and efficiently.
Oversee the testing methods and instruments in the quality laboratory to ensure meeting the scientific criteria as per the technology licensor.
Design and lead setting up and updating the Laboratory business processes and manuals to fulfil the operations and marketing business requirements.
Advise on the quality and technical matters for raw materials, and in qualifying and auditing relevant suppliers.
Inspection & Product Classification
Manage the creation, update, and development of the testing and standard methods to ensure proper alignment with other labs within company.
Approve different Quality Control Laboratory reports and product certificate of analysis for all company products in line with the product quality specifications.
Lead the site investigation for all upcoming customer complaints, and due investigation to ensure properly addressing the root cause and meeting the customer business requirements.
Recommend and report the product quality performance reports to for the plants, shifts, etc. to management in line with operations improvement, performance management, product management, asset integrity, and value chain requirements.
Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Engineering, or equivalent qualifications.
Fluency in English Language; written and oral Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
Minimum of 15 years of experience in Quality Control, Laboratory, or Polymer Process occupations.
Thorough understanding of Laboratory Testing and Methods.
Working exposure on QC process related, acceptance and rejection limits, and other quality control concepts and terminologies.
Working exposure on Operating Standards for Quality Control & Labs processes and services.
Work exposure on Operational Expenditures and cost saving opportunities.
Experience on chemicals consumption and shortage management.
Professional Certifications
Preferred to be a member of American Society of Quality (ASQ). J

Petrochemical Plants: Knowledge and experience in managing quality control processes in petrochemical plants.
Quality Control: Expertise in quality control processes, standards, and activities to ensure the consistency and quality of company products.
Technical Skills: Specific technical skills required for the role, including HSE and Asset Integrity and Process Safety (AIPS) Critical Roles Capability Assurance Program and ADNOC Future Skills.
Polymer Classification: Understanding of polymer classification and related quality control measures.
Laboratory Management: Skills in managing laboratory assets, equipment, tools, and appliances to support various tests.
Testing Methodologies: Proficiency in testing methods and instruments to meet scientific criteria. Product Inspection: Ability to manage the creation, update, and development of testing and standard methods.
Product Certification: Approving quality control laboratory reports and product certificates of analysis.
Shift Management: Overseeing the planning of quality control and laboratory teams to manage testing and inspection schedules.
