About the opportunityRole Summary We're looking for a Manager Quality Assurance to join the team and focus on enhancing Ultra Fresh quality proposition (Fresh Produce, Fresh Meat & Seafood) in our own Grocery Store tMart, which is the region's first cloud store concept offering 30-minute delivery of groceries at hypermarket prices. The service has expanded rapidly across Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, Egypt, Oman and Iraq!What's On Your Plate?Ultra) Fresh project:
Lead a team of inspectors across countries we operate in.
Develop standard operating procedures, quality inspection guide, and scoring criteria.
Work closely with Category Managers to ensure team is aligned with regulatory requirements
Develop and manage inspection schedules across locations.
Visit suppliers, stores, & competition and report findings.
Identifies and develops performance indicators and project improvement opportunities
Able to apply problem solving tools and methods to coordinate and/or lead investigation teams
Use auditing as a proactive tool for improvement compliance and challenge existing practice where appropriate
Manage notification, responsiveness, containment, root cause determination, corrective actions, and closure of supplier quality issues
Support the complaint handling process to assure timely and accurate feedback
Assist in and manage the verbal communications and visual checks of work activity to ensure quality requirements are met
Private Label project:GENERAL:
Developing/improving Regional Private Label Quality System (including processes/manuals/templates).
Coordinating Local Quality Managers/Specialists work related to Private Label. Supporting countries without Local Quality Function (collaboration with Commercial, Legal, Q-Com Leadership).
Managing the Regional PL Quality budget (necessary to cover e.g. routine quality controls, third party service providers, purchasing GSO standards, necessary certifications etc.)
NEW PROJECTS:
Supporting in a timely manner all PL product development processes to ensure highest quality standards.
Working with local, regional and international suppliers.
Validating each PL contract from the quality perspective.
Participating in the supplier selection process to assure that all new PL suppliers are meeting talabat's requirements and applicable regulations & standards.
Performing the supplier's audit in order to approve the manufacturing sites.
If necessary, coordinating the work of third party service providers (e.g. lab analysis, auditing, inspections etc.)
Leading the product/recipe validation through panels and lab analysis control.
Preparing/reviewing, signing and stamping Technical Specification Sheet for each SKU.
Validating all packaging information, label artwork & print proof to ensure its compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Validating samples of the 1st production.
EXISTING PORTFOLIO:
Preparing and executing the plan of routine quality control analysis for existing PL products to ensure compliance with agreed technical specification.
Preparing and executing the plan of routine audits for the existing PL suppliers (including follow ups on agreed action plans).
Managing all customer complaints related to PL products.
Leading all withdrawal and recall processes for PL products (including dealing with necessary authorities).

Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external)
Occasional foreign and domestic travel as required
Computer skills are required (Microsoft Office, Spreadsheets, Email communication, Data Visualization, Power Point).
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Food Sciences/Agriculture-Biochemistry/Engineering/Quality Management or a related field. Advanced degree will be an advantage.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management preferably in the retail/manufacturing industry and with relevant experiences related to Fresh Food Processing and Private Label Development
Licensures: Must have a valid driver's license.
