### Job Summary:
The Operations Manager for Merchant Acquiring is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations and processes related to the merchant acquiring business. The role involves optimizing operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, enhancing merchant onboarding and support, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive the business's success.
### Key Responsibilities:
### 1. Operations Management:
Manage and streamline the end-to-end operations for merchant acquiring, including merchant onboarding, transaction processing, settlement, and reporting.
Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure all processes are efficient, timely, and meet quality standards.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure operations align with business objectives.
### 2. Merchant Onboarding & Support:
Supervise the merchant onboarding process, ensuring that all required documentation, compliance checks, and integrations are completed accurately and on time.
Provide ongoing support to merchants, addressing any operational issues related to payment processing, settlement discrepancies, or account maintenance.
### 3. POS Deployment and Management:
Oversee the deployment, setup, and maintenance of POS systems for merchants.
Coordinate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve any POS issues.
Ensure all POS installations meet compliance and regulatory requirements.
### 4. E-commerce Integration and Training:
Manage the integration of e-commerce platforms with the payment gateway and merchant systems.
Coordinate with IT teams to ensure a seamless and efficient integration process.
Develop and conduct training programs for merchants on using e-commerce and POS systems effectively.
### 5. Process Optimization:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance operational efficiency and merchant experience.
Work closely with IT and other teams to implement technology solutions that optimize workflows and minimize manual efforts.
### 6. Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements, including those of the central bank and other relevant authorities.
Collaborate with the Compliance and Risk departments to implement the best practices, fraud prevention measures, and risk management strategies.
### 7. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
Work closely with various departments, including Sales, IT, Compliance, and Finance, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of operations.
Liaise with third-party vendors, including payment processors, technology providers, and banking partners, to maintain and enhance operational services.
### 8. Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
Track and report operational performance metrics, including transaction volumes, settlement times, and issue resolution rates.
Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting key operational achievements, challenges, and action plans.

Lead and develop the operating team, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure a high level of team competency and motivation.
Establish clear objectives for the team and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
### Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations management within the payments, fintech, or banking industry, preferably in merchant acquiring.
Strong understanding of payment processing, settlement, and reconciliation processes.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the UAE, particularly in the merchant acquiring and payments space.
Proven track record of process improvement and operational efficiency.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong attention to detail.
