A UAE-based group of companies specializing in the production and global retail of confectionery products. Responsibilities Attraction of Financial Resources for Group Enterprises:
Negotiating and establishing credit limits for the Group, structuring financing deals, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Identifying potential borrowers, determining credit volumes, and coordinating the submission of required documents to banks for financial resource applications.
Organizing various types of financing for Group companies, including project, investment, working capital, and short-term financing, with interest rate subsidies where applicable.
Negotiating credit agreements, guarantees, and pledge terms, facilitating the execution of credit security documentation to protect the Group's interests.
Managing the issuance of bank guarantees for payment obligations under contracts and VAT refunds and verifying counterparty-issued guarantees to safeguard the Group.
Monitoring and supporting ongoing transactions, ensuring the timely fulfilment of conditions and covenants across existing credit agreements, guarantees, and other financing documents, while ensuring coordination across company divisions.
Overseeing compliance with payment obligations, including principal debt, interest, and commissions, and ensuring adherence to settlement conditions with the Group's cash management unit.
Optimization of the Credit Portfolio:
Strategizing and optimizing the credit portfolio, focusing on structure, duration, and cost-efficiency.
Managing intragroup borrowings and loans, preparing internal agreements, and adjusting terms or durations as necessary while overseeing mutual settlements.
Insurance:
Overseeing property and liability insurance, determining optimal coverage and rates, particularly for pledged assets such as real estate and equipment.
Managing the conclusion of compulsory insurance contracts (hazardous production facilities, motor third-party liability) and ensuring the timely renewal of policies.
Financial Models and Reporting:
Preparing and verifying financial models based on management reports and operational data analysis, to assess the company's financial position and mitigate potential risks related to current credit transactions (in collaboration with Budget and Analytical departments).
Updating investment project details to assess financing needs and target specific loans, working closely with the Budget, Analytical, Agro, and Cash Management teams.
Contributing to the preparation of financial statements for individual Group companies and consolidated reports, ensuring reconciliation of loan obligations and conducting asset impairment tests.
Coordinating with the external auditor to address specific requests related to financial reporting.
Contract Analysis and Risk Protection:
Analyzing contract terms, including credit agreements, guarantees, loan agreements, and other business contracts, to protect the Group's financial interests.
Collaborating with the Legal, Finance, and Internal Audit departments to ensure alignment and identify potential risks.
Skills Required:
Minimum 5 years' experience in Corporate Finance roles
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (or a related field)
Demonstrated experience in Financial Modelling & Forecasting
Experience in Bank & Financial Institution Liaison, and withIFRS & Financial Reporting Compliance
