The Manager, IT - Applications is responsible for maintaining resort applications and the day-to-day service delivery and operations of the IT operations team, responsible for the delivery of consistent IT support services to Atlantis Dubai and providing service management processes based on the ITIL framework, delivering consistent IT service to the business. You will work with direction from the IT Director, providing strategic direction and guidance, as well as assisting in the management of the 24 x 7 support function across both the hotels. This role will also involve being the point of escalation for all applications related incidents and problems, whilst also managing the staffing schedule for the entire IT team, ensuring adequate coverage across all internal IT functions and across both hotels.Another key aspect of this role will be to lead system installations and be responsible for managing project timelines to ensure a smooth transition to the new system and minimise post-installation support requirements. You will also be responsible for the performance management of direct reports and assist in the selection of talent and succession planning process, whilst also appropriately managing resources in accordance with business demands and building a customer focused approach to the delivery of IT Services and technical support.In this role, you will coach, mentor, motivate and supervise IT team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.About youThe ideal candidate must have 3-4 years\' experience working at a similar level within an IT applications environment, within a 5* hotel/resort, and have experience managing a team, supporting large, converged IT services within a hospitality environment.You will have a firm understanding of IT processes and administrative tasks, a strong understanding of IT process and administrative tasks, IT service delivery and ITIL Framework, strong knowledge of technical support based on Microsoft\'s platform - Desktop and Server, and strong knowledge supporting applications and integrations, plus experience managing vendors.Ideally, you will also have a diploma in Computer Science or a related field, and a Microsoft Certification or equivalent / ITIL Certification and or CobIT.Join a team that is adventurous, creative, warm-hearted and extroverted.
