Provides guidance and direction in the coordination of pharmacy services division's major functions and activities in order to maintain proper professional and administrative procedures as required by and to satisfy JCI, HAAD, International Patient Safety goal standards and the UAE Government's rules and regulations.
Participates as the medical authority on pharmaceuticals in the planning and implementation of integrated preventive- curative medical care programs and medical therapies.
Is a prominent member of the Pharmaceutics committee and contributes significantly to its stated functions.
Has the principal responsibility for assuring the organization's compliance and adherence to the UAE Government's laws, regulations, directives, and Ministerial decisions as directly related to pharmaceuticals, narcotics, controlled, and psychotropic drugs.
Serves as the primary liaison for all pharmacy services activities related to the UAE Government and organizations.
Establishes specifications for the procurement of all approved drugs and related chemical and biological products as relevant to pharmacy practice, and develops and maintains written policies and procedures pertaining to appropriate drug control, storage, preparation, dispensing, and administration through Pharmacy Service drug.
Replies to all official letters related to the pharmacy and its practice and is legally responsible among monitoring authorities regarding all pharmacy practice.
Reviews pharmacy records, stock level inventories, and controlled drugs; provides drug monitoring services, including establishing and maintaining patient drug profile records.
Manages and leads the provision of safe, timely, efficient, equitable, effective, and patient-centered pharmacy care services and operations.
Monitors pharmaceutical and other established indicators to ensure ongoing quality assurance.
Plans the delivery of the overall pharmacy training program and its activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the program. Ensures that program activities comply with all relevant legislation and professional standards.
Monitors pharmaceutical and other established indicators to ensure ongoing quality assurance.
Evaluates the performance of assigned personnel and holds staff accountable to practice and service standards of the department and organization.

Ensures, as far as reasonably practicable, that any workplaces managed or controlled are safe and without risks to health, safety, or the environment.

Ensures adequate budget and resources for FMS/OSH/PCI management.

Qualifications:
Successfully completed and holds an accredited recognized BSc. in Pharmacy.
Holds a current and valid license to practice as a pharmacist in home country.
Must have HAAD License to practice in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Has 10 years of experience, including 3 years in an administrative position.
