Ensure effective implementation of the Bank\'s Compliance strategy and program within the international locations, and ensure alignment with other interfacing departments and stakeholders
Reporting and Monitoring:
Oversee the International Compliance locations by developing and managing an innovative reporting suite and structure, capturing themes, trends, emerging risk, and performance indicators, as well as details of open risks and issues
Oversee the establishment, in the International Locations, of fit-for-purpose compliance monitoring programs to identify, prevent, detect and correct non-compliance with applicable rules and regulations
Assist on Group Compliance Reporting and Monitoring matters and other relevant initiatives applicable to international locations
Risk and Issues Management
Monitor progress on Groupwide regulatory and Compliance-related projects as executed across FAB\'s international network. Periodically report to senior management on project status and any regulatory risks inherent in project objectives and activities
Develop tools to better challenge and measure risk assessment outputs, including with respect to Group Compliance\'s Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessments, and the Risk Control Self-Assessment process, where International Compliance plays a dual role as process and risk owner, and as a point of independent check and challenges to businesses in the management and assessment of their own regulatory risks
Monitor the lifecycle and closure of regulatory issues affecting FAB\'s international network, driving issues to closure and reporting on issue status and emerging risks relating to the inability to close issues in a timely fashion
Monitor audit issue closure across International Compliance. By facilitating the open sharing of information across International Compliance, provide advice to issue owners and auditees on best practice with respect to audit engagement and ensuring that risks are appropriately and sustainably mitigated.
Regulation and Policy
Support the adoption and appropriate deployment of Group Compliance policies and procedures at the country level, ensuring that FAB policy requirements are adhered to and any gaps are subject to localised action
Monitor progress against regulatory implementation and regulatory change management across FAB\'s international network, escalating actual and impending cases of possible non-compliance with laws, rules and regulations
Develop regulatory heat maps enabling the proper focus of country and Group Senior Management on the risks of non-compliance with material requirements
Implement and manage the Group Compliance Programme across FAB\'s International Locations including the management of Compliance risks in line with Group Policies and local requirements
Contribute to a no-surprise culture of compliance across all International Locations, promoting business accountability for regulatory risk management, proactive intervention to manage open and emerging risk, and innovative approaches to the dynamic resolution of open risk issues
Engage in initiatives and assignments from the Head of Corporate, Commercial and International Banking Compliance and/or the Regional Heads of Compliance for the Americas, Europe, the Middle East & North Africa, and Asia
Execute other duties as directed by the VP, International Compliance Management Officer

Minimum Bachelor\'s degree or higher in management, banking, or finance; preferably with certification in compliance
Minimum Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Banking Industry
Outstanding written English, with a demonstrated ability to work with complex policy and regulatory vernacular, delivering clear and concise, business-friendly reporting prose
A firm understanding of regulatory matters, with proven exposure to global regulations and best practices in compliance standards
Excellent project management and administrative skills
Strong interpersonal, people management and facilitation skills with good leadership skills.
Ability to generate ideas, think creatively, develop innovative solutions, and build effective business relationships quickly
Team player, able to meet tight deadlines and manage challenging workload
Focused on driving tasks to completion with pace, whilst retaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
