Job Overview: The Business and Engineering Information Support Engineer will provide high-level technical support to both Business and Engineering departments, ensuring the seamless operation of IT systems, infrastructure, and applications critical to their success for the Client and project . The role focuses on supporting clients and project teams, delivering high-quality services that align with the business and project needs, and ensuring optimal information management practices. This position will bridge the gap between IT and business/engineering operations, facilitating effective communication, problem-solving, and resource management across various projects. Key Responsibilities: Client and Project Support: Serve as the primary IT support contact for business and engineering project teams, ensuring the effective execution of IT requirements for client projects. Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal project teams to identify, assess, and meet project-specific IT needs. Provide high-level technical support to project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, assisting in the resolution of IT-related issues for the client . Ensure IT systems and infrastructure are aligned with project timelines and client requirements, anticipating challenges, and proactively offering solutions. Information Management Support: Support the efficient management of project and business data, ensuring that information is properly stored, tracked, and archived in compliance with organizational standards and legal requirements. Oversee the implementation and execution of data management strategies for both structured and unstructured data across client and project environments. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of information across various platforms, tools, and technologies. Ensure effective management of documentation related to IT infrastructure, project plans, and business operations. Systems & Infrastructure Support: Oversee the IT infrastructure that supports business operations and engineering projects related to the client Provide guidance and technical expertise in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems that support both business and engineering needs. Coordinate with IT Field Service & Remote Desktop Team and support system upgrades, expansions, and new IT implementations that are aligned with business goals and project timelines. Technology Requirements Analysis & Coordination: Analyze Clients & project-specific IT requirements and recommend suitable technology solutions to support business and engineering goals. Act as the liaison between the IT department and project stakeholders, ensuring that IT solutions are designed, developed, and implemented in alignment with client and project objectives. Client-Focused Information & Technology Solutions: Provide client-facing IT support, addressing and resolving technical issues, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Manage client expectations regarding the required client IT services, infrastructure, and troubleshooting, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of issues related to the Client and Project needs. Support project teams in the preparation of IT proposals, reports, and documentation related to client IT needs and requirements. Project Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of IT-related issues, requests, and resolutions for project teams and clients. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Business and Engineering departments to ensure the successful alignment of IT systems with business and engineering needs. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, ensuring timely updates on IT system statuses, support activities, and project IT requirements.
Key Skills and Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications in IT management or project management (e.g., PMP, ITIL) are a plus. Experience: Well -versed in the industry with significant hands-on-experience in IT support, with a focus on business and engineering environments, ideally with project-based support experience. Proven track record of providing high-level technical support to business and engineering teams. Experience with managing IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and communication tools in a project-oriented setting. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems administration, network configurations, and data management tools. Experience with enterprise-level applications and systems used in business and engineering projects. Proficient in project management tools and methodologies, with a focus on managing IT deliverables within project timelines. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and offer solutions to complex IT challenges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, project teams, and business stakeholders. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring high-quality service delivery. Personal Attributes: Client-focused with a strong dedication to providing excellent IT service and support. Detail-oriented with an ability to manage complex information and ensure data accuracy. Proactive and solution-driven, with a focus on anticipating and mitigating potential IT issues before they impact projects or business operations.
