Job Description

:The Finance Manager will possess strong financial and operational skills, coupled with strategic thinking and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. A deep understanding of healthcare finance and operations is essential. This role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with unit business heads and other key stakeholders to ensure financial strategies align with overall business objectives and are effectively executed. The Finance Manager will also support unit business teams in developing and monitoring budgets, forecasts, and delivering on financial plans.Responsibilities:Financial Performance and Analysis:
  • Analyze and evaluate financial performance to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement strategies to achieve financial targets, focusing on cost optimization opportunities.
Financial Support and Modeling:
  • Provide financial analysis to regional business unit management teams, including variance and trend analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Support feasibility analyses for new projects and quantify performance improvement initiatives.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Collaborate with unit business teams to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
Internal Controls:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain systems of effective internal controls within the units.
  • Work with assurance providers (internal control, internal audit, and external audit) to ensure effective financial reporting controls.
Collaboration and Reporting:
  • Partner with corporate finance functions, revenue cycle management, and operations to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee the annual financial audit for business units, including relevant reporting.
Industry Insight and Leadership:
  • Maintain a deep understanding of healthcare industry trends, regulatory changes, and financial developments.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to hospital leadership.
Team Management:
  • Build, manage, and inspire a team of direct and indirect reports to achieve business and functional objectives.
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships to ensure financial and business objectives are met through collaboration and communication.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation and adopting best practices to enhance financial operations.
Qualifications:Educational Requirements:
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, MBA Finance).
Experience:
  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in a financial business or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience in healthcare accounting and finance.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in financial systems and technology, including ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to clearly communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Additional Attributes:
  • Capacity to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
