Your expertise in working with local PCAOB clients and your in-depth knowledge of PCAOB auditing standards will be instrumental in delivering high-quality audit services.What will I be responsible for?
Take a lead role in planning, executing, and managing PCAOB audits for our clients in accordance with PCAOB standards, rules, and regulations
Ensure compliance with all relevant PCAOB requirements, including independence, ethics, auditing standards, and quality control procedures
Foster strong client relationships and serve as the main point of contact for PCAOB-related matters, addressing client concerns, and providing timely guidance on complex auditing issues
Oversee audit engagements, including the review of workpapers, financial statements, and audit documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to PCAOB standards
Assess client-specific risks, internal control systems, and audit risks associated with PCAOB engagements. Develop strategies to address identified risks and effectively evaluate internal controls
Provide guidance, mentoring, and on-the-job training to audit staff, enabling their professional growth and ensuring a high level of technical competence in PCAOB audits
Identify opportunities to enhance audit methodologies, tools, and procedures, leveraging best practices and emerging industry trends specific to PCAOB audits
Stay updated on changes in PCAOB regulations, auditing standards, and other regulatory developments, ensuring the firm's compliance and proactively communicating relevant updates to the audit team
What do I need for success?
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
A professional qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent is essential
Minimum 5 years of experience in audit, with a focus on conducting PCAOB audits. Previous experience working directly with local PCAOB clients and deep knowledge of PCAOB auditing standards are essential
Strong understanding and practical application of PCAOB standards, rules, and regulations. Familiarity with SEC reporting requirements for public companies is preferred
Proficiency in auditing techniques, risk assessment, internal control evaluation, and financial reporting frameworks. Experience in performing substantive audit procedures and addressing complex accounting and auditing issues
Sound knowledge of a variety of industries in order to effectively evaluate industry-specific risks and considerations during PCAOB audits
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage audit engagements, supervise a team of professionals, and effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders at all levels
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, enabling the identification and resolution of complex audit issues and the provision of practical recommendations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to articulate complex audit matters clearly and effectively with clients, team members, and senior management
