Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provides input to the preparation of operational plan and annual budget plans for the Strategy & Marketing department in line with the stated Sectoral priorities in order to create synergies within the team Manages and controls the annual budget spend as per the annual operating plan for the Enterprise Planning sub-unit and monitors deviations, if any, in order to optimize costs Measures performance against sectoral KPIs for the Enterprise Planning sub-unit and provides guidance for achievement of targets in order to achieve high performance standards and continuous improvement Ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures and quality standards in the Enterprise Planning sub-unit Collaborates with stc to guide the corporate strategy and financial plan development Cascades stc strategic priorities into programs and initiatives related to Solutions by stc Manages the development of Solutions by stc Annual Operating Plan in alignment with stc Corporate Strategy Analyzes global industry trends as well as the Kuwaiti market including competitive environment, potential market disruptions, revenue trends, consumer needs, etc. along with expected market risks and assesses their impact Reviews and analyzes Solutions by stc performance and positioning in the market compared to competition Leverages analysis conducted by Advanced Analytics to assess Kuwait's market maturity indicators along with expected market risks, and hedges Solutions by stc through relevant initiatives imbedded in the Annual Operating Plan Proposes team ownership, timelines and dependencies for each strategic initiative Develops budget in alignment with stc and in coordination with Finance Defines overall portfolio strategy, and ensures portfolio alignment and coherency to mitigate product cannibalization risks Develops and updates Solutions by stc bottom-up forecasting model Monitors and enables the achievement of goals and key performance indicators for direct reports and ensures effective implementation of the performance management process in the sub-unit in order to create a high performance team Ensures high level of employee engagement and capability development by providing on-going feedback and coaching to team members within the Enterprise Planning sub-unit Supports the Sectoral & Departmental heads to create a culture of high performance, learning, and two-way feedback between top management and individual contributors in order to ensure high levels of employee morale Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Fluent English and Arabic skills (written and spoken) required.
