The editor is also required to develop dynamic speeches, thought leadership editorials, blog contributions and social media blurbs & messages.The English Editor is responsible for the final revisions of all collateral content released by the agency as a result they must have exceptional writing and editorial skills that assist in the creation of consistent and professional messages in consumer targeted communications inclusive of website pages, blog posts and other publications.The English Editor is detail-oriented, highly organized and self-sufficient, being able to handle high-quality editing of both online and offline PR content. The English Editor must possess good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with all the team members throughout the team and wider agency.Main TasksTechnical & Product
Responsible for the day-to-day editorial guidance across accounts
Support on integrated communications strategy for accounts as well as media counsel and strategy for executive management
Planning and development of editorial content across cyclical PR and publicity activity calendars for all accounts
Design and develop innovative integrated media strategies, keeping in mind the evolved media landscape
Devise, write, edit English content (press releases, speeches, by-lined articles, messaging documents, corporate presentations) in line with business requirements
Ability to comprehend the needs of multiple teams and effectively communicate the client's key messages via the use of language
Interaction with team members and assistance with the development of suitable communication measures
Effectively handle the daily deadline-driven process of releases, invitations, and requests from multiple team members
Maintain consistency in content and ensure alignment to clients brand voice and business objectives
Innovative & Analytical Mindset
Having an journalist mindset to develop content that is newsworthy and interesting
Ability to communicate the message in simple and impactful manner which will attract audience
Develop and publish new interesting, dynamic content periodically at a steady pace
Qualifications
Journalism/Media/Communications/Marketing with a minimum of 5-7 years experience in English writing, editing or equivalent in a previous agency
Excellent grammar, editing, writing and re-writing skills
Fluent in English (Native fluency)
A skilled wordsmith who can deliver error-free press releases and invitations
The ability to identify the core messages of customers and provide effective ways to deliver them
Capable of quickly handling industry-specific research to add value to the releases and other communication material for the teams
Proficient with computers, particularly MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
