Job SummaryThe role of the Event Operations Front of the House (OPF) department is to manage activities across the event delivery of Expo. OPF includes the following service areas:

• Accreditation
• Guest Services
• Transport Traffic & Parking and
• Venue Management.

Opportunity ResponsibilitiesThe purpose of the Manager - Venue Planning role is to lead on the operational design, planning, readiness and delivery of a particular venue within the Expo Site. This role will work with all internal business departments to plan an integrated operation, and involve engagement with all relevant and dependent external partnersThe main responsibilities of the role include:

• Manage venue planning teams in ensuring all operations are integrated and striving for excellence in delivering seamless operations;
• Support in the development of policies and procedures specific to the Venue Management Functional Area;
• Create operational efficiencies through innovative and integrated processes and service design;
• Identify strategies and opportunities to improve venue and event operations;
• Support Venue Management projects as required.
• In the Pre-Operational Phase, Venue Planning Managers will be responsible for supporting the following key priority areas which include but are not limited to:
• Developing and Integrating operating plans and associated documentation for the future management of a Venue and subsequent spaces within;
• Engaging and coordinating Venue stakeholders (Venue Owner, Real Estate & Delivery, Expo Internal Functions and Departments) in detailed operational planning to ensure Venue plans and teams are seamlessly integrated;
• Work with the Site Management and Real Estate & Development (RE&D) teams supporting the transition from construction to operation;
• Work with the Venue Management Readiness team in conducting operational exercises and test events.

Skills6+ years' experience in a senior role working on a previous major event program or leisure attraction with specific experience related to Venue Management and putting the Guest Experience at the heart of decision making and service design;

• Bachelors degree within relevant field;
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills;
• Program or project manager experience supporting large complex projects;
• Knowledge across all key event operational functions, understanding the Venue Operations dependencies with the other operational departments;
• Experience in working in a multi-cultural organisation, GCC region desirable;
• Experience in building teams and enhancing/developing them ready for operations;
• Designing service levels against predefined services, and planning transition to operations;
• Ability to build a network across Expo teams and key external stakeholders;
• Ability to collaborate and integrate well with other business functions.
