Provide technical and engineering support in the bidding process for new projects, during M&A deals and during development phase to achieve growth and target profitability, while ensuring delivery of outcomes within defined quality, safety, performance, and cost parameters.Job Specific Responsibilities:
  • Plan and manage the implementation of engineering and technical solutions for the assets in the development phase and execute performance optimization initiatives, by working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination throughout the development process.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to the operating assets, to optimize technical solutions and extend the life of components for enhanced performance. Address requests from internal and external stakeholders to propose, support and deliver tailor-made technical solutions.
  • Prepare budget plans for the project and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) company, considering all technical aspects for the entire lifecycle of the project, including the bid phase and provide technical expertise towards implementation of financial models.
  • Prepare and maintain data and documents required to support bids and Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) activities and ensure technical due diligence is conducted properly. Support in defining the bidding strategy for projects under development, suggesting various types of technology associated with electricity and water production. Responsible for review and finalization of the technical proposal of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor.
  • Provide support in all the technical aspects of internal approval process for bid submissions and M&As.
  • Conduct technical assessment of contract requirements throughout the entire process. Perform configuration analysis, resource estimation, production estimates, availability modeling, degradation analysis, and project scheduling and all project related studies such as geotechnical, topographical, re-circulation and technical consultancy services appointment.
  • Provide inputs to the development of strategy for negotiation to draft or modify key project agreements, including power/ water agreements, partnership agreements, and fuel agreements. Lead in LTSA negotiations and renegotiations, addressing requests from operating assets to ensure favorable outcomes for Generation business unit.
  • Manage creation of project scope as well as selection, negotiation, and appointment of owners engineers, lenders technical advisors, and other technical advisors as needed for bids and projects and ensure effective operational functioning of these workstreams.
  • Provide support to the CEO and construction managers of Project Companies, as well as the CEO and plant managers of O&M companies, during construction, commissioning, and operations phases.
  • Ensure compliance with all project agreements including, power/ water purchase, administration, lending or credit management, operations and maintenance, fuel management and partnership agreements.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to develop and implement deployment plans, rollback procedures, and contingency measures and conduct post-implementation reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and optimize transition processes.
  • Execute a seamless handover of technical details and documents to the project delivery team and to the operations and maintenance team for smooth transition. Provide necessary support to company's operations and maintenance team to set up new assets under development.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with EPC Contractors, OEMs, Technical Consultants, local companies, and suppliers, expanding service offerings and opportunities for both new development and existing assets.
  • Provide expertise to other functions within the business unit to evaluate, define and secure the optimum market position and prices including analysis of alternative tariff, different pricing arrangements, product, and feedstock market assessments. Manage collaboration with finance business partners and other business partners such as Human Capital, Legal and Supply Chain to achieve strategic KPIs on commercial and revenue management.
  • Stay updated on the technology supplier guidelines and industry best practices, actively supporting in the establishment, review, and enhancement of assets with cutting-edge technical solutions.
