SynopsisThe Manager Data and Platform Engineering will be responsible for technical leadership of scrum teams, developing and supporting applications, ensuring alignment with the best practices and standards set by the Data and Platform Engineering Chapter, while actively contributing to the ChapterAccountabilities

• Provide Data and Platform Engineering delivery and support capabilities and guidance and technical assistance to the data engineers and customers.
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Execute Strategy, Follow Principles and Design Frameworks for Delivery.
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Large scale complex application development, enhancements and maintenance projects/programs
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Lead a team of Data and Platform Associates/Engineers
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Expert level SME Data and Platform Engineering skills.
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Interact with Architect and Technical leadership over the roadmap for the evaluation and adoption of technical tools / technologies.
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide guidance and feedback to team members in technical design and understanding system functionality.
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Carry complete ownership of the technical aspect of the system, including quality and timeliness of development / testing / support.
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Recommend technical improvements to design, development, testing, adaptation to and acceptance of new methodologies and tools, code refactoring, performance optimization etc.
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop, guide and verify Development of applications aligned to best practices and standards, SDLC Frameworks.
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure documentation is reviewed, kept updated and easily accessible to all
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Contribute to and support Data Engineering Chapter activities to modernise, grow and mature data and platform engineering capabilities.
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform peer code reviews, and provide constructive feedback to coninuously improve overall coding quality
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide recommendations to continuously improve the quality of data products
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Contribute to low-level architecture/technical design aligned to the high-level solution and business requirements
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Work within the agile development team to analyse and decompose stories into tasks for simpler implementation
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Proactively identify new frameworks / tools / processes to enhance the efficiency of the development team
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Responsible for the end to end quality of your own and team\xe2\x80\x99s deliverables
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Communicate clearly and effectively with team members throughout all the implementation lifecycle

Education & Experience8-10 years of experience in a data and platform engineering role or related functions.

• Development experience and ability to provide technical inputs to low level design
• University degree and technology certifications.
• 1-3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience following the Scrum methodology (certification is desirable)
• Good communication skills
