This includes sourcing, negotiation, value optimization, procurement, and contract management to meet end-user requirements. Focus on establishing best practices within the team and ensuring the highest service levels to achieve optimal Value for Money.To lead category management strategies and plans to ensure proper management in line with cost saving plans and procurement strategies.Category management:
Develop comprehensive category plans based on spend analysis and procurement plan to establish cost savings programs per key category.
Develop and implement category management strategies to drive TCO cost savings, optimize procurement processes, and enhance supplier performance.
Monitor market insights, data analytics and industry trends to adjusts strategies accordingly.
Foster innovation and sustainability within categories to position Masdar as a leader in the green energy industry.
Lead the development and implementation of category management strategies for allocated categories at Masdar. Align the category management strategy with cross-functional teams for specified categories and sub-categories. Aim to deliver sustainable value through a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach, enhance efficiency through automation, maximize contract coverage, promote green procurement practices and In-Country Value, and lead effective supplier relationship management to ensure long-term partnerships and value creation.
Lead and execute strategic tenders for assigned categories from source to contract process.
Contract Management:
Lead and oversee contract management activities, including contract administration, with a focus on developing robust contracts that protect Masdar's interests and comply with relevant policies and regulations.
Implement comprehensive contract monitoring to ensure proper planning, performance tracking, and on-time renewal of contracts, optimizing supplier relationships and minimize disruptions.
Drive negotiations to ensure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels, while minimizing contractual risks.
Maximize call-off contract coverage to streamline procurement processes and enhance operational efficiency, ultimately contributing to cost savings and sustainability goals.
Management of procurement processes and operations:
Manage procurement processes and operations utilizing analysis and judgement in differing situations to solve work related matters in accordance with broad policies and objectives
Endorse and recommend the commitment of Masdar through Purchase Orders or any type of Contract as per the delegation of authority while optimizing the use of Masdar funds.
Monitor procurement service levels to ensure provision of best services to internal customers and to ensure fairness of procurement processes to potential suppliers.
Lead negotiation with key suppliers and make sure that the team obtains the best value related to different services and items.
Contribute to the continuous improvement and implementation of unit systems, policies and procedures covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements and standards are fulfilled while ensuring that policies and procedures support the delivery of the strategy.
Ensure cross functional collaboration and change management:
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align category strategies with organizational goals, ensuring that procurement efforts directly support and advance our strategic objectives.
Champion and facilitate seamless integration of procurement and contract management functions, fostering an environment of synergy and cross-departmental cooperation to optimize resource allocation and drive cost-efficiency.
Lead change management efforts during the implementation of category management strategies and any new approved initiative, facilitating seamless transitions and ensuring that all stakeholders are effectively onboarded and aligned with the new processes.
Maintenance of documentation and records
Compliance with information security policies, procedures and requirements at all times:
Adhere to any applicable Masdar information security policies and procedures and identify and report security incidents and suspected weaknesses to the appropriate point(s) of contact.
Protect assets under care (e.g. laptops and other devices) and information/credentials against unauthorized access, sharing, and/or damage/loss, in accordance with the Information Classification and Handling Procedure.
Clear desks of all sensitive material and log off/ lock workstations at the end of the day and when leaving desk for a prolonged period in accordance with Acceptable Usage Policies.
Ensure not installing, copying or modifying of any software on Masdar equipment without authorization.
Team management and supervision:
Organize and supervise the activities and work of the team to ensure that all work is carried out in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating policies and procedures.
Manage the team by overseeing their performance management, recruitment, training and development to ensure high levels of engagement and competence and motivated work environment.
Reporting to stakeholders and Compliance with information security policies, procedures and requirements at all times:
Complete all relevant reports in a comprehensive, accurate and timely manner, and comply with international principles of corporate governance and standards, and shareholder requirements.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering, Business administration or supply chain or related fieldPreferred Experience:
6-8 years of experience in Category Management and Contract Management in a large organization requiring the procurement of a large range of products and services
