Established in 2006, Masdar is today active in over 40 countries, helping them to achieve their clean energy objectives and advance sustainable development.Masdar is jointly owned by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Mubadala Investment Company (Mubadala), and Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA), and under this ownership the company is targeting a renewable energy portfolio capacity of at least 100 gigawatts (GW) by 2030 and an annual green hydrogen production capacity of up to 1 million tonnes by the same year.Purpose for this role:To develop and ensure effective implementation of various communication plans that are aligned to Masdars overall communication strategy, with a strong (but not exclusive) focus on Masdars financial priorities and content.Responsibiltites:
Contribute to the development and implementation of yearlong communications plans with a strong focus on Masdars financial priorities - using a range of communications tactics across traditional and digital media channels.
Develop and execute strategic communications campaigns.
Develop timely and accurate content to ensure key messages are communicated across all channels.
Work with the stakeholder outreach teams to encourage advocacy and ensure that key messages are being communicated effectively.
Develop an appropriate messaging house and relevant proof points with a strong focus on Masdars financial priorities - that will be used across all materials and channels.
Support and oversee the development of a range of communications materials website, press release, flyers, brochures, social media.
Develop relevant briefing documents and talking points for key spokespeople.
Oversee video content including storyboarding and messaging.
Support the wider team in developing a monthly newsletter by sharing insights, collating video testimonials and supporting the team with reaching out to key contributors.
Develop, draft and edit compelling content from press releases/articles for publication in national, regional and international media in a journalistic style and on a broad range of topics, including financial, technical and policy related issues and matters.
Write and edit op-eds, features, letters and Q&As.
Work with relevant PR agencies and outreach partners with a strong focus on Masdars financial priorities - to ensure content conveys the right messages and is in line with the required standards.
Liaise and co-ordinate with Media, PR and Events companies for all incoming press office enquiries and requests.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local/regional media with a strong focus on Masdars financial priorities - to support communications objectives Assess and recommend incoming media inquiries and opportunities
Oversee hosted media programme
Proactive pitching of announcements and media interviews
Prepare written responses to questions posed by the media
Develop compelling media pitches to target journalists
Collate and analyse media coverage
Identify media opportunities and implement campaigns around key programs and issues, including monitoring media cycles and updating media lists
Ensure relationships with service level providers are managed smoothly and effectively in a way that guarantees that Masdar is provided with quality and timely services, in line with relevant service level agreements.
As and when required by management, personally manage key relationships/negotiations with relevant internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure the negotiation and agreement of favourable deals and agreements that safeguard Masdars best interests while ensuring the delivery of necessary needs/goals
Contribute to the continuous improvement and implementation of unit systems, policies and procedures covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements and standards are fulfilled while ensuring that policies and procedures support the delivery of the strategy
Complete all relevant reports in a comprehensive, accurate and timely manner, and comply with international principles of corporate governance and standards, and shareholder requirements.
QualificationsPreferred Qualifications:
MBA or relevant Masters degree from a top-tier internationally recognized higher education institution
Bachelors degree in journalism, mass communication or related discipline
Preferred Experience:
6-8 years of experience in corporate communications and content development in large and reputable organizations and a proven track record in the management of teams delivering content in a challenging environment or an equivalent experience
Agency Experience: Must have worked on financial projects
Must be familiar to the UAE Financial Regulator
