Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Manager - Category Buyer for our Food and Beverage (F&B) category. This role will be responsible for sourcing, managing, and optimizing the F&B product portfolio. The Category Buyer will work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure the business achieves competitive pricing, product quality, and strategic growth in the F&B category. This role requires a strong understanding of market trends, consumer preferences, and a passion for the F&B industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Category Management:
• Manage the end-to-end buying process for the F&B category, ensuring products meet quality standards and deliver value to the organization.
• Analyze sales trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and profitability.
• Develop and implement category plans to achieve company goals.
• Supplier and Vendor Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing, contract terms, and delivery schedules.
• Identify new suppliers and innovative products to enhance the F&B portfolio.
• Conduct regular supplier evaluations and performance reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards and KPIs.
• Market and Trend Analysis:
• Stay updated on current F&B trends, market conditions, and consumer preferences.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the F&B sector.
• Provide insights and recommendations for the F&B category strategy.
• Inventory and Stock Management:
• Ensure timely procurement and replenishment of F&B products to avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to align with sales forecasts and minimize wastage.
• Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize logistics and distribution processes.
• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
• Work closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to align product offerings and promotional strategies.
• Provide input on product assortment, pricing, and promotional calendars.
• Support the development of marketing materials and product launches.
• Financial Management:
• Prepare and manage the category's budget, ensuring optimal pricing and cost control.
• Monitor and report on financial performance, including margins, sales growth, and profitability.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and sustainability initiatives.
• Monitor and manage potential risks related to supply chain disruptions, product recalls, or safety issues.
