Job Summary:The Business Development Manager will lead business development initiatives and licensing opportunities within Julphar and drive company growth and expansion. He/she shall also identify strategic partnerships and collaborations to enhance product portfolios and market presence. This includes working with internal and external experts to manage the due diligence process and deals negotiation.Responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including partnerships, alliances, and acquisitions.
Develop and implement strategic plans to expand market share and drive revenue growth.
Scout new BD opportunities and partners that fill into the growth and pipeline strategy.
Interact continuously with Portfolio Strategy team to review and grow Julphar\'s product pipeline.
Lead negotiations for licensing agreements and collaborations with external partners.
Manage the end-to-end process of licensing deals, from initial contact to contract execution and implementation.
Lead alliance management activities for the signed contracts.
Lead due diligence process of licensing projects.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key existing stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, and academic institutions.
Serve as the primary point of contact for business development inquiries and partnership discussions.
Collaborate closely with R&D, regulatory affairs, marketing, portfolio management, and legal teams to ensure alignment of business strategies and objectives.
Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams involved in business development projects.
Prepare periodic reports with respect to the BD & Licensing function\'s activities and achievements to be submitted to department\'s head and management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
More than 5 years of experience in similar BD roles and min 10 years of experience in the Pharma industry.
Proven experience in business development and licensing within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry in MENA.
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence and build consensus.
Demonstrated track record in signing and facilitating signatures of deals.
