Job Description

Role Purpose: Develop and manage the implementation of Finance plans; manage budgeting, closing and reporting; conduct financial analysis; ensure compliance with Department of Finance laws and regulations and other applicable requirements.

Financial Analysis and Modeling :

• Proficiency in creating advanced financial models
• Ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
• Experience with variance analysis to identify trends and anomalies

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Expertise in developing and managing budgets
• Ability to create accurate short-term and long-term financial forecasts
• Skill in aligning forecasts with strategic business objectives
• Experience with rolling forecasts and driver-based budgeting techniques

Financial Reporting

• Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and GAAP/IFRS standards
• Proficiency in preparing comprehensive financial reports for various stakeholders
• Ability to create clear and impactful data visualizations
• Experience in developing executive-level presentations and dashboards

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Tools

• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., Oracle etc.)
• Expertise in FP&A-specific tools (e.g. Hyperion etc.)
• Skilled at using tools such as Power BI or Tableau etc. to extract, analyze, and visualize large datasets

Education and Certification Requirements:

Certificate: Industry recognized Financial Certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, CMA, etc.)

Minimum: Bachelor's degree

Preferred: Bachelor's degree (Finance or Accounting) CPA or ACCA

Experience (years)

• UAE National: 6 to 9 Years
• At least two years in a senior accounting or finance role.
• Finance experience in Abu Dhabi Government entity
• Experience of working with Government Finance laws
