Job Description

Role purpose:



To assist with all accounting activities required of the finance department, ensuring accurate data is maintained at all times, including book keeping, cost analysis and support for tax and regulatory compliance. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time sensitive tasks.




Key accountabilities:


• Assisting in the month end close, ensuring all costs are posted into the ledger, including overseeing all accounting aspects for JVs, branches and departments


• Preparation of data and reports for inclusion in the monthly MIS / quarterly / annual MIS


• Overseeing the operational spend of the business and highlighting areas for review / cost control


• Assist with the annual audit preparations, investigating and resolving audit findings and account discrepancies


• Assist with the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts


• Assist with the preparation of monthly payroll file and overtime expenses


• Assist with the preparation and filing of company taxes, in compliance with local tax laws


• Support of the management team for ad hoc requests



Provide support to other members of the finance team




Required Qualifications:


• Bachelor's/Master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field


• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.


• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.


• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA




Required Experience:


• Proven experience in a financial analysis / management accountant role


• Solid knowledge and understanding of financial and accounting policies, procedures and regulations


• Prior experience of using accounting software


• Advanced MS excel skills


• Excellent analytical and numerical skills


• Sharp time management skills


• Strong ethics, with the ability to handle confidential / sensitive sate and information


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
