Job Summary: The Male Nurse for a construction company is responsible for providing medical care and first aid to employees on-site, managing health records, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This role requires a professional with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of industrial experience, preferably in a construction or similar environment. The Male Nurse must be capable of responding to medical emergencies, conducting health assessments, and promoting overall health and safety within the workforce. Key Responsibilities:
Medical Care and First Aid:
Provide immediate medical care and first aid to employees who are injured or ill on the construction site.
Assess the severity of injuries and illnesses and determine the need for further medical treatment.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to medical emergencies and accidents on-site.
Stabilize and prepare patients for transport to medical facilities if necessary.
Liaise with emergency services and ensure proper handover of patients.
Health Assessments:
Conduct regular health assessments and screenings for employees to monitor their overall health and well-being.
Perform pre-employment and periodic medical examinations.
Maintain confidential health records for all employees.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and standards.
Participate in safety meetings and provide input on health-related matters.
Monitor the work environment for potential health hazards and report any concerns to management.
Health Education and Promotion:
Educate employees on health and safety practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Promote healthy lifestyles and practices among the workforce.
Organize health and wellness programs and initiatives.
Record Keeping and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all employees.
Prepare and submit reports on workplace injuries, illnesses, and health-related incidents.
Track and report on health trends and issues within the workforce.
Collaboration:
Work closely with site management, safety officers, and HR to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
Coordinate with external medical facilities and healthcare providers as needed.
Support the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education:
Diploma or degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
Valid nursing license or certification.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of industrial nursing experience, preferably in construction or a similar industry.
