: Maintenance Worker in Warehouse

Position Overview:

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and overall warehouse infrastructure in a facility that handles devisors (scents and oils). The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair work, and ensuring all safety standards are met while working in an environment with potentially hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Maintenance and Repair:
• Perform routine inspections of all warehouse equipment, including pumps, tanks, conveyers, and machinery used in the handling of oils and scents.
• Conduct minor repairs and perform necessary upgrades or replacements for equipment to ensure smooth and safe operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues related to mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Preventive Maintenance:
• Follow a scheduled preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of warehouse equipment.
• Check and maintain temperature, humidity, and air quality controls in storage areas where oils and scents are kept to ensure product integrity.
• Regularly lubricate, clean, and test all equipment for optimal performance.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure the warehouse environment adheres to health and safety regulations, especially when handling oils and fragrances which may be flammable or hazardous.
• Work in compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and company safety protocols.
• Assist in conducting safety drills, equipment safety checks, and ensuring emergency protocols are in place.
• Inventory Management:
• Keep track of maintenance supplies, including tools, lubricants, and spare parts for warehouse equipment.
• Ensure that replacement parts for machinery are ordered and stocked as needed to avoid operational delays.
• Cleaning and Housekeeping:
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, especially around areas where oils and fragrances are stored or used.
• Clean equipment and workspaces as required to avoid contamination or chemical reactions with the oils and scents.
• Collaboration with Other Teams:
• Work closely with warehouse staff to understand any equipment issues affecting the workflow.
• Coordinate with the production team to minimize downtime and ensure that the repair work does not interfere with operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Skills: Knowledge of machinery, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Understanding of safety procedures for working with hazardous materials (oils and scents).
• Mechanical Ability: Experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems and understanding of warehouse equipment.
• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols, especially in a warehouse environment handling potentially flammable or volatile substances.
• Communication: Ability to effectively communicate issues and work with team members.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and parts as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
