Job Description

Install, inspect, test, maintain, and repair gas lines, gas appliances, and related equipment. Check for gas leaks and troubleshoot problems related to gas appliances and equipment. Ensure that gas installations comply with building codes and safety regulations. Record work performed in logs and maintain accurate records of gas equipment and systems. Provide recommendations to customers regarding the use, operation, and maintenance of gas equipment and appliances. Communicate with clients, contractors, and other trades to coordinate work and ensure that gas installations are installed properly. Assist in the development of procedures, guidelines, and policies related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas equipment and appliances. Keep up-to-date with new developments in gas technology and equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. Install new gas service connections to a range of clients. Alter the position of existing gas pipes to enable redevelopment work. Commission or decommission gas systems. Work with technical diagrams and plans. Provide a full range of services on low, intermediate, and medium-pressure distribution and high-pressure transmission networks. Use the latest technologies and innovations to deliver a safe gas supply. Follow strict health and safety procedures at all times to meet nationally-required standards. Respond to all customer calls promptly concerning leaking installations. Prepare the monthly maintenance report for the tank using the L.P.G. inspection checklist. Oversee safety and security operations. Desired Candidate Profile Degree in Technical school/diploma or ITI & trade certificate in electrical or mechanical. Minimum 2-4 years experience in LPG pipeline installation/operations ONLY. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts. Previous experience in maintenance or quality work is desirable. Ability to routinely lift heavy weight. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
