Job Summary
A General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and repairing equipment and facilities to ensure their optimal functioning. This role requires a diverse skill set, covering basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repair work. The technician ensures that the facility remains in good working order and complies with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Routine Maintenance:
• Perform regular inspections of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing leaks, and servicing HVAC units.
• Repairs and Troubleshooting:
• Diagnose and repair issues with equipment, appliances, and facilities.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency calls promptly.
• Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify and resolve problems.
• Facility Upkeep:
• Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the facility, including grounds, common areas, and offices.
• Perform minor carpentry work, such as repairing doors, windows, and furniture.
• Paint and touch-up walls and other surfaces as needed.
• Preventive Maintenance:
• Develop and follow a preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment and systems.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and update maintenance logs.
• Identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
• Installation and Upgrades:
• Install new equipment, appliances, and fixtures as required.
• Assist with renovations and upgrades to improve facility efficiency and safety.
• Collaborate with contractors and vendors for specialized installations and repairs.
• Inventory and Supplies:
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Order and replenish parts and supplies as needed.
• Maintain an organized and well-stocked maintenance area.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct safety inspections and address any potential hazards.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
• Prepare reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, and safety compliance.
• Report major issues and recommend solutions to management.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
