Job Description

This is skilled supervisory work in the general maintenance and repair of varied facilities, buildings, and grounds.

An employee allocated to this class of work is responsible for supervising the general maintenance and repair of University facilities and furnishings involving a variety of building trades. Work includes the supervision of skilled tradesmen, helpers, and laborers. Instructions as to what work should be done are received daily or at any time when emergency repairs have to be done. Completed work is subject to inspection by an administrative superior.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Directs skilled and semi-skilled workers engaged in building small structures or in altering, repairing, and painting existing buildings; plans, lays out, and assigns duties to subordinates; checks periodically to assure established specifications are met.

Supervises the maintenance and repair of plumbing, heating, electrical, mechanical, and other plant equipment.

Supervises the maintenance of grounds and outside structures.

Prepares work reports concerning types of repairs made, materials used, and cost of completed work assignments; purchases parts, tools, and supplies. Maintains inventory of materials and equipment.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
