The Maintenance Executive is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of the organization's facilities. This role includes ensuring that all building systems, equipment, and facilities are well-maintained, functional, and comply with safety standards. The Maintenance Executive will plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance activities, manage a team of maintenance staff, and liaise with external contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance Planning:
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and preventive maintenance programs.
- Plan and prioritize maintenance tasks to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of maintenance activities.
2. Team Management:
- Supervise and provide guidance to maintenance staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities.
- Ensure that maintenance staff adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
3. Facility Management:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Ensure that facilities are clean, safe, and functional.
- Coordinate with other departments to address facility-related issues and improvements.
4. Budget and Inventory Management:
- Manage the maintenance budget and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Source and manage relationships with external contractors and suppliers.
5. Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures.
6. Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Prepare reports on maintenance performance and costs.
- Ensure that all maintenance documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a maintenance management role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
