Machinist/ Heavy Duty Mechanic
Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position performs a variety of work associated with the repair and maintenance of gasoline and diesel machinery and equipment, fabrication of specialized parts, system design and manufacture, and troubleshooting. Cleans, inspects, and determines course of repair, including restoring close tolerances with accuracy, machining and/or replacing functional parts, devices and control instruments, reinstalls and assembles, starts, drives or operates equipment and devices to test performance.
QUALIFICATION : Minimum High school or Certification from a technical school or apprenticeship program is preferred.
EXPERIENCE : Minimum 7 yrs Experience in machining operations and metal fabrication .
SKILL SETS : Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic systems, and mechanical components. A knowledge of diesel engines is plus.
ANY OTHER REQUIREMENTS :
Good communication skills i.e. should speak and understand English (Mandatory).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
