ASME UNIT - OIL FIELD MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIES (UAE) is looking for an amazingly talented Machine Shop Supervisor to join our team! In this role.. Core Responsibilities:
- Establish ideal raw material to be used on all products to be manufactured.
- Establish routing procedures for manufactured products.
- Classify and create standard costs for all new products to be manufactured.
- Process planning and raising bills of materials from engineering drawings.
- Determine the best procedure for outside processing, coordinating with machine shop and purchasing.
- Determine the best routing process.
- Develop new fixtures and tooling for process improvement.
- May assist in outsourcing manufacturing operations when unable to undertake within Machine Shop.
- Supervise all employees in Production Department and follow up their performance.
- Follow up all Equipment's tools & Raw materials in stock for uninterrupted production.
- Overseeing the daily operations and make sure its going according to plans
- Develop operational programs to coordinate the efforts of workers to maintain the quality of the product
- Schedule production according to the needs and work requirements.
- Prepare all production method statements as per the production requirements.
- The Objectives are met by all the shifts in charge and operators.
- The distribution of responsibility at operational levels.
- The production and planning for the manufacturing.
- Reviewing the internal capability related to the manufacturing activities and informing the same to the sales department.
- The overall responsibility for manufacturing products to the defined standards and schedules.
- Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturers instructions and established procedures.
- Coordinate training of workers to ensure the performance of their work effectively
- Coordination with the quality and Safety and Occupational health.
- Coordination with the Q/C & Maintenance department to meet the requirements.
- Prepare minimum stock for each material according to Project requirements and submit to store to follow up.
- Prepare AutoCAD drawings/drafting.
- Follow up all ISO procedures related with the Production Department.
- Follow HSE risk and impact controls.
- In the absence of the Workshop Supervisor, the Production Supervisor will be In charge of the workshop.
- To prepare quotes based on the requirements
- Communicate to customers on the quotes and revisions.
- Estimate the price of products
- To Log enquiries in the enquiry register. Maintained inquiry register & quotation logbook.
- And/or any other tasks/projects as assigned by Management.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with extensive & relevant experience.
- Programming and operating skills associated with CNC Machinery.
- Must be able to use and read Micrometers and various other measuring equipment.
- Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings.
- 5 years minimum experience programming and operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
