Responsibilities:Recruits, trains, supervises, evaluates, schedules, and assigns work to shop personnel engaged in SB & SR projects.Plans, organizes, and conducts machine shop safety courses and certifies shop users are qualified to use equipment and machinery.Oversees use of shop facilities by staff to assure proper usage of equipment according to prescribed safety standards.Writing of CNC programs that are compatible to the machine systems, using experience of tooling requirements and modern machine techniques.Supervises, coordinates and schedules shop projects to meet deadlines and requests, evaluating and assigning priorities to individual projectsCompile production sheets prior to the machining stage and plan production schedules in accordance with best practice, efficiency, and utilization of machinery.Analyze and record data for monthly reporting to senior management.Investigate new modern techniques and technologies which would enable the department to run more cost effectively, enable growth and reduce manned hours.Ensure that Engineering tooling and consumables are available to support existing and new products.Assist and help solve any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.Provide support during the process of implementing new plant machinery.Required Skills:Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in mechanical engineering level education.CNC / NC QualificationsAt least 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in the design and construction of high-precision instruments at the level of model maker, with ability to design and fabricate research equipment based on verbal descriptions of performance needs.Worked in similar environment / industryAbility to use engineering measuring equipmentComputer literate in MS Word, ExcelAbility to read engineering drawingsHighly motivated able to work as part of a team
