Position Overview:

The

Machine Operator

in a

feed mill

is responsible for operating and maintaining various machinery used in the production of animal feed. This role ensures that the feed mill runs efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Machine Operation

Operate feed mill equipment such as mixers, pelletizers, extruders, grinders, boiler and conveyors. Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper functioning. Adjust machine settings to achieve desired feed quality and consistency.

2. Production & Quality Control

Follow production schedules and ensure accurate formulation of feed ingredients. Perform quality checks on raw materials and finished products. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and feed safety standards.

3. Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery to prevent breakdowns. Identify and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues; report major issues to maintenance personnel. Keep records of machine performance and maintenance activities.

4. Safety & Compliance

Adhere to workplace safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Follow feed mill sanitation and hygiene protocols to prevent contamination. Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain logs of production data, machine performance, and material usage. Assist in inventory management by tracking raw materials and finished products. Communicate with supervisors regarding production updates and issues.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required:

Technical diploma or equivalent. Experience in machine operation, preferably in a feed mill or manufacturing setting. Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and safety procedures. Physical stamina to handle heavy materials and work in a high-noise environment.

Preferred:

Certification in machine operation or mechanical maintenance. Familiarity with PLC control systems in feed mills. Knowledge of feed production processes and quality control standards.

Work Conditions:

Exposure to dust, noise, and machinery. Standing for extended periods and lifting bags of ingredients (as required). Shift work may be required, including weekends and holidays.

Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
