Posted: 14/06/2024 14:27Start Date: Not AvailableSalary: DOELocation: Dubai, UAELevel: ExperiencedDeadline: 21/06/2024 23:59Hours: 40.00Benefits: CompetitiveJob Type: Fixed Term - Full TimeJob Title: Logistics Project ManagerReporting to: Direct Regional Manager (MENA)Nature of the Position: Fixed Term - Full TimeLocation: Dubai, UAERole Overview:The job holder is responsible for developing strategy and managing the movements of all goods, equipment and rental products from the OSC entity to the new FZE entity in Jebel Ali Freezone.They are responsible for developing a comprehensive plan that will ensure a seamless movement of all inventories to the new facility and seeking approval from all internal and external customers, in accordance with Company policies and procedures and in line with OSC and Customs requirements which include documenting, recording and reporting of all imports and exports.Key Responsibilities:
Working under the guidance of the Senior Management team to ensure that the details of all legacy imported goods which have arrived into the Hunting Dubai facility are transferred to the new free zone facility, with support from regional Logistics colleagues as required
Responsible for mapping out the new logistics process within the new FZE entity and implementing the required reporting within the JAFZA and Dubai customs portals.
Ensuring all logistics staff are trained on the new customs system.
Liaising with both internal and external customers and OSC to ensure all inventories are transferred to the new entity with minimal disruption to operations.
Maintaining awareness of all OSC and Dubai customs requirements and ensuring that all import/export activities comply with company, local and international policies as well as laws and processes.
Complying with established company processes for reconciliation project.
Ensuring all relevant shipping documentation is present and correct and filed where necessary.
Contributing to the Management and implementation of relevant reports to be communicated to Managers/Directors.
Active involvement in and identification of continuous improvement opportunities with Hunting's logistics processes and systems.
Qualifications/Skills and Experience:Essential:
Demonstrable experience in a shipping/logistics role
A relevant degree or equivalent workplace experience
Experience of using an integrated ERP system
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Highly proficient in spoken and written English
Full Driving Licence
Personal Qualities
Excellent communication (both written and oral), influencing and interpersonal skills
High degree of commercial acumen
Highly professional approach and conduct
Strong time management and organisational skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Good negotiating and influencing skills
Must be willing to travel and able to spend time away from home
