Summary Logistics Project Manager (LPM) owns and executes project equipment deliveries while ensuring all delivery schedules are met. Collaborating with fulfillment, planning, global supply chain and customs the LPM will be required to develop and execute project logistics plans that meet project related contract and budgetary requirements within Middle East, Africa and South Asia.What youll do;
Primary interface with the business teams for developing and managing logistics plans for various projects.
Principal lead for ITO-OTR hand-off including logistics plans for global project procurement plans as per the contract requirements.
Manage cross-functional teams to ensure proper logistics planning and execution that supports on-time delivery and optimized cost performance to customers.
Monitor and ensure compliance, Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost (SQDC) throughout the project phase and in coordination with logistics coordinators and routers.
Establish transport mode requirements for logistics execution considering budgetary and contract requirements.
First point of contact for all logistics quality related cases (stuck, misrouted or damaged shipments), responsible for the related NCRs and RCAs
Maintain all logistics related tools as per the work instructions (OTM, Pulse, WMSA)
Prepare and review estimated at completion (EAC) budgets for all projects including analytics and report-out.
Present to business leadership strategies and execution plans to drive operational goals.
Be the part of any New Units operations related lean initiatives and continuous improvement plans.
Be the local contact for freight forwarders` representatives.
Continuously enhance Lean learnings and acquire in-depth knowledge through GE Learnings portal and other sources.
Follow EHS rules and warn others to follow the rules, execute mandatory EHS trainings and immediately report the incidents and near misses as required.
Further tasks not involved in this that the immediate leader/manager assigns with verbally or in writing.
What youll bring (Basic Qualifications);
College or university degree or equivalent experience
At least 3 years work experience in transportation and logistics
Minimum 2 years experience with Ocean chartering, with Heavy Haul land transport and over dimensional transport operations
Very detailed knowledge in ICC defined terms and conditions
Extended knowledge of export regulations, terms and processes
Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, and ability to handle multiple priorities
Project management capabilities
Ability to perform in a team environment
Self-starter, capable of working with minimum supervision
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent customer service mindset
