Job Title: Logistics Officer
Job Summary: The Logistics Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing the supply chain processes to ensure the efficient delivery of goods and materials. This role involves coordinating transportation, monitoring inventory levels, managing warehouse operations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Plan and track shipments, ensuring accurate and on-time deliveries.
Oversee inventory management, stock levels, and warehouse activities.
Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and transport companies to schedule deliveries and resolve any shipment issues.
Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to logistics and inventory.
Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations and company policies.
Optimize transportation costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of logistics providers and negotiate favorable contracts.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely material availability.
Handle customs clearance processes and documentation for international shipments.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of customs regulations and transportation laws.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
