Our clients include multinationals and SMEs, governments, non-governmental organisations, supra-nationals, and non-governmental organisations.The Logistics Manager is the key individual responsible for all procurement, supply chain, stock and inventory management and resourcing.The logistics manager interfaces with the deployed vessel logistics team and ensures that the requirement.The key roles and responsibilities of the Logistics Manager is:
Logistics Management of the entire project including resourcing, purchasing and restocking of equipment.
Review the usage and requirements for resupply of medications, consumables as required.
Work with the Medical Team for procurement of specific medical equipment for specific missions
Coordination of Repairs and Maintenance of various Medical Facilities
Implement procurement and supply chain policies to improve delivery quality, timelines, and cost management.
Work collaboratively and proactively with clinical team and Procurement to continually improve procurement systems.
Monitor inventory management weekly and monthly.
Review existing supplier contracts and issue & manage procurement.
Manage all service contracts (issue, renew, close, retender) and oversee supplier performance.
Manage the procurement/logistics team.
Work closely with Finance Team to manage purchasing / ERP system.
Work closely with Finance and Operations to oversee asset management (new equipment, refurbishments, repairs, calibrations etc).
Manage the Biomedical Engineering Team which provides support to the calibration and servicing of the medical equipment deployed.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors Degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management or similar subject.
5 + years experience in international procurement within the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare sector essential.
CIPP, CIPSC, IACCM certified would be an advantage.
Naval/ maritime medical or logistics experience advantageous.
Good Distribution Practice experience with relation to medical procurement
Sound product knowledge within Medical Supplies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Offshore BOSIET/HUET training mandatory entry requirements
