Responsibilities:Plan and develop delivery schedules and drop shipment solutions.Inquire and book shipments with freight forwarders on time, as approved by the line manager.Coordinate between suppliers and freight forwarders regarding agent details and the timely collection of goods from the origin.Track and maintain tracking sheets of all shipments, including relevant information for each shipment.Update delivery times to the purchasing team for ERP updates for the sales team.Inform the purchasing and sales teams about the arrival of shipments to our warehouse.Obtain original documents from suppliers to hand over to freight forwarders for customs submission before the shipments arrive in the destination country.Ensure smooth customs clearance and delivery in advance with the local freight forwarder to our warehouse in a timely manner.Handle and comply with MOFAIC, COO, TDRA, and other requests from customs government authorities to ensure smooth clearance of goods, under the guidance of the line manager.Develop and implement effective solutions to improve efficiency, customer service, and cost savings.Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.Collaborate with the export department on preparing shipping documents and other related tasks for export shipments.Process freight invoice documentation and records in a timely manner.Build relationships with logistics teams of suppliers and freight forwarders.Handle claims with suppliers and freight forwarders promptly.Perform other related tasks assigned by management.Required Skills:Bachelor of Business in any relevant fieldsLogistics/Supply chain management related certifications will be an added advantageProficient in Excel and data analysis tools.Strong analytical and communication skills5+ years of logistics experience in UAE requiredPreferably from a trading companyDemonstrated ability to work independently and take initiatives
