: Logistics Coordinator - Import Documents
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Coordinator to handle the import documentation process. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a reputed Freight Forwarding, Vessel Chartering enterprise, or a Trading/Manufacturing-Export/Import company, with a particular focus on Dangerous Goods handling. This is an immediate opening, and candidates must be able to join within 1-2 days after offer acceptance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Logistics Management:
• Coordinate vessel chartering, dry containers, ISO tanks, and road transport within the GCC region.
• Manage shore tank leases and charters.
• Handle customs and border formalities within the UAE and GCC.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, transporters, clearing agents, and relevant government authorities for import/export shipments.
• Shipping Documentation:
• Oversee the execution of export documentation requirements (pre and post-shipment), ensuring compliance with export regulations, especially for shipments to Africa, ME, GCC, and Europe.
• Prepare documents from Chamber of Commerce, Attestation by Embassy & MOFA, as required.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of export shipping documents to customers and stakeholders.
• Vendor and Partner Management:
• Work closely with shipping lines, ISO tank operators, and vessel owners globally, specifically for the transportation of petrochemicals.
• Negotiate and draft contracts, fixtures, and logistics agreements.
• Cargo Handling & Dangerous Goods:
• Manage Dangerous Goods handling procedures according to industry standards and regulations.
• Stay updated on BL formalities and LC terms for Bulk and FCL cargoes.
• Handle cross trades and switch documents for dry containers.
• Reporting & Coordination:
• Maintain detailed records of shipment documentation, updating status on an Excel sheet and submitting daily reports to the reporting manager.
• Coordinate and follow up with concerned parties, including suppliers and customers, to ensure timely document exchange and shipment updates.
• Export/Import Documentation:
• Arrange shipping documents without discrepancies and ensure timely submission.
• Communicate with suppliers and customers to provide shipping advice and share documents promptly.
Key Challenges:
• Managing 150-200 export documents simultaneously.
• Gaining a comprehensive understanding of product lines.
• Handling logistics operations across several countries at once.
• Broad logistics knowledge required to manage various shipment processes efficiently.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
• Educational Qualifications: Graduate in Logistics & Supply Chain Management preferred.
• Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of logistics experience, with a strong background in freight forwarding, vessel chartering, and import/export documentation.
• Specific Expertise:
• Experience handling Dangerous Goods.
• Well-versed in customs procedures, shipping lines, and ISO tank operators.
• Strong knowledge of BL formalities, LC terms, and handling dry containers.
• Proficient in preparing and managing export documentation.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage documentation for multiple countries.
