Coordinates orders for shipment of cargo from point of origin to point of destination, to ensure product meets required delivery in the most efficient method, while interfacing with the customers to keep them apprised of progress. All files must be maintained per shipping requirements. Gathers data on value of the service provider and analyzes business\xe2\x80\x99 short-term needs while planning movement of shipments. Requires the use of logistics systems to perform job duties, and ensure correct and timely movement transactions. Responsible for recording data measurements to help follow trends in order to identify alternative ways to improve the moves and logistics services to the economic benefit of Superior. Responsible for packing, marking, labeling and measuring cargo to provide accurate weight & dimensions. Job tasks performed correctly impact directly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability and/or operations. Requires the ability to assist F&A (finance and accounting) with validation of rates and charges on invoices.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct freight bidding for the respective mode of transport

• Maintain shipping records and all commercial documents

• Responsible for packing, marking, labeling and measuring cargo to provide accurate weight & dimensions.

• Scrutinize shipping invoices against agreed rate contracts, prices etc.

• Perform administrative duties (including documents distribution / collecting / filing)

• Update and compile logistics related monthly reports

• Receive shipments electronically in the ERP system

• Assist in preparation of documents and printing shipping documents for signing

• Assist in preparation of documents for proof of export Bill of Lading / Commercial Invoice / Export Bayan

• Expedite deliveries of goods.

• Assist in operational gate pass creation inbound/outbound for cargo

• Any other related logistics/Supply Chain duties as assigned by the Supervisor

• Ability to deliver quality reports and commercial documents with minimum supervision

Qualificationspreferred qualifications

• College education preferred \xe2\x80\x93 2-year degree or 4 years undergraduate degree in supply chain, engineering/applied math, finance/accounting or business preferred.

• Four years related experience in logistics, warehouse or operations environment or a four-year degree plus 2 years work experience required.

• Computer proficiency in software applications to include MS Word, Excel and Outlook

• Valid UAE Driving License preferred
