We offer: Asset Category Management team within APM Terminals' Procurement Organization is responsible for Global Category Management of all CAPEX and OPEX spend for APM Terminals (APMT) within the areas of Alliance Management, Civil, Energy, Equipment, Automation and Asset Lifecycle Management including Maintenance & Repair. The position is to manage the Logistics Category globally for APMT. She/he shall work closely with APMT's global Asset Maintenance and Supply Chain functions to support 70+ business units globally. This includes understanding supplier operating models, creation of the ideal negotiation strategies via data visualization. Key Responsibilities: Capture data to establish a baseline on logistics processes & spend Map current logistics process(es) within APMT Lead creative idea generation workshops with suppliers and internal stakeholders Formulate & implement a global strategy for logistics for APM Terminals Develop and coordinate a tender strategy for global or regional logistics to ensure best cost and service level from a logistics perspective. Establish the APMT logistics process from an internal, system, and external supplier perspective. Establish framework to capture logistics spend & process accurately tying into APMT's main ERP system, IFS10. Work cross-functionally with colleagues from Asset Maintenance to help optimize inventory cost Develop customer-centric solutions that address structural data challenges Lead Supplier Contract/Price negotiations and Global Framework Agreement (GFA) efforts Develop and manage key suppliers through structured Supplier Relationship Management Participates in the development of root cause analysis for major incidents impacting the terminal operations and ensure identified countermeasures are deployed as planned. Act as the center of excellence for the managed categories through complete understanding of the products, their application, suppliers, industry trends, competitive landscape, future technologies, and innovations.
We are looking for someone who:
Has a minimum of 10 years of global experience in logistics, warehousing, customs management and supply chain management Is experienced and comfortable working with an international and (or virtual) team. Is experienced working in a matrix set up. Has managed suppliers/customers' management level relationships and has experience in holding complex negotiations Experience with strategy development and implementation is preferred Has in-depth knowledge in end-to-end supply chain processes and systems specifically towards logistics management Has demonstrated proactiveness, assertiveness, resilience, and persistence in achieving goals Is adept at analyzing data; can zoom in and out and tell logical stories upwards Has the ability to make decisions and drive task completion in instances where absolute clarity does not exist Has the ability to manage internal & external stakeholders efficiently Has excellent English language communication skills (verbal and written) Has a min. Bachelor's degree (MBA, MSc in Supply Chain Management will be a plus) Extensive knowledge of working in ERP systems (preferably in IFS10) and conducting complex data analysis via SQL development, Power BI creation
