The Logistics and Procurement Officer is responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring efficient logistics, warehouse, and stock management operations. This role involves coordinating purchases, tracking shipments, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, particularly within the
oil and gas field

Key Responsibilities:
Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, and purchase order issuance.
Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services, specifically within the
oil and gas industry
.
Oversee
warehouse operations and stock management
, ensuring efficient storage, tracking, and retrieval of materials.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, supplier performance, and inventory stock levels.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to replenish stock as needed.
Track and manage
shipments and logistics operations
, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any shipping-related issues.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, service providers, and shipping companies to optimize costs and quality.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contracts, and industry-specific regulatory requirements.
Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for efficient
distribution and transportation of goods

Handle
customs clearance and import/export documentation
, particularly for oil and gas equipment and materials.
Assist in budget planning and cost analysis for procurement and logistics operations.
Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement, warehouse, and logistics activities with business needs.
Address any procurement, logistics, or warehouse-related complaints, discrepancies, or quality issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Min. 3-5 years of experience in procurement, logistics,
warehouse, and stock management
, preferably in the
oil and gas industry
.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in
procurement, logistics, and inventory management software
.
Knowledge of
shipping regulations, import/export procedures, and oil and gas logistics best practices
.
Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
