Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and organized Logistics Coordinator with experience in fleet management and logistics operations, preferably within the furniture manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the movement of goods, coordinating shipments, overseeing fleet operations, and ensuring timely delivery to our clients and warehouse locations. This role involves optimizing routes, managing drivers, and ensuring the effective use of vehicles. Key Responsibilities: Shipment Coordination: Organize and manage the transportation of raw materials, components, and finished furniture products from suppliers to the factory and from the factory to customers. Fleet Management: Oversee the company's fleet of vehicles, including scheduling vehicle maintenance, monitoring fuel usage, tracking driver performance, and ensuring all vehicles comply with safety and legal regulations. Route Optimization: Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective delivery schedules, minimizing downtime and fuel usage. Driver Management: Coordinate driver schedules, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with safety standards and delivery deadlines. Handle any driver issues or conflicts promptly. Warehouse Management: Supervise the receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods in the warehouse. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks to prevent shortages or overstock situations. Inventory Control: Work closely with the procurement and production teams to track and manage stock levels, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and finished goods. Vendor Management: Collaborate with third-party logistics providers and transportation service companies to ensure reliable and cost-effective logistics solutions. Documentation: Ensure that all shipping and fleet-related documentation (invoices, bills of lading, maintenance logs, etc.) are accurately prepared and filed, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Cost Control: Monitor and control logistics and fleet management costs, identifying areas to improve efficiency and reduce operational expenses. Problem Solving: Address and resolve logistics and fleet-related challenges, such as delays, damaged goods, vehicle breakdowns, or driver issues, minimizing disruptions to the supply chain. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 2-3 years of experience in logistics and fleet management, preferably within the furniture or manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of fleet management systems, logistics software, and ERP systems. Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and negotiation abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and logistics/fleet management software. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Preferred Skills: Experience in the furniture manufacturing sector is highly desirable. Familiarity with domestic and international shipping procedures and regulations. Understanding of vehicle maintenance, safety standards, and legal regulations related to fleet management.
