Key Responsibilities:

1. Review loan applications and documentation submitted by borrowers to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with lending guidelines and regulations. 2. Collect and verify borrower information, including income, employment history, credit reports, tax returns, and asset statements, to assess creditworthiness and risk. 3. Order and review third-party documents and reports, such as appraisals, title reports, flood certifications, and insurance policies, to ensure compliance with loan requirements. 4. Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and other stakeholders to request additional information, clarify details, and resolve issues related to loan applications. 5. Input and update loan data in the loan origination system (LOS), ensuring accuracy and completeness of records throughout the loan processing cycle. 6. Prepare loan files and documentation for submission to underwriting, including organizing documents, creating summaries, and highlighting key information. 7. Coordinate with underwriters to address any outstanding conditions or documentation requirements, providing additional information or clarification as needed.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in finance, banking, or related field is preferred.
2. Proven experience as a Loan Processor, Mortgage Processor, or in a similar role within the lending industry.
3. Knowledge of lending practices, regulations, and compliance requirements, and other applicable laws.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to review and interpret financial documents and assess credit risk.
5. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously and meet deadlines.
6. Proficiency in using loan origination software (LOS), Microsoft Office applications.
